Museum of Childhood

(Photograph) - Bear doctor Susan Streete gives seven-year-old Rebekah Gahan advice on how to care for her teddy during Teddy's Day Out, part of the Teddy Bear Story exhibition at the Museum of Childhood in Bethnal Green, London. The exhibition, which celebrates the hundred years since the first soft toy bear was designed by Richard Steiff in Germany in 1902, brings out many other famous bears such as Rupert and Winnie the Pooh. Further teddy bear special days are being held at the Museum of Childhood every Monday during all school holidays. Other events and resources include art activities, quiz sheets, and teacher resource packs for the Foundation Stage and Key Stages 1 and 2. For more information contact the museum on 020 8980 2415.
