Nappy world

A new range of nappies, made from unbleached cotton, has recently been launched by the washable nappy company, Lollipop. The Onelife nappy comes in one size with four poppers to adjust the fit, rather than using Velcro, so that it suits babies from birth through to toilet training. The nappy has a soft binding around the legs and waistband and an attachable booster to increase absorbency. An additional cover to fit over the nappy is available. This also fastens with poppers and has side vents to allow air to circulate. The cover is made from soft-brushed polyester that is unbleached and carries the Oeko-tex 100 standard to certify that it is free from harmful chemicals, with a waterproof outer layer. The wipe-clean cover can be used several times before washing and is available in cream and a selection of prints, in four sizes: three to five kg, five to nine kg, nine to 16 kg and 16 to 20 kg. The nappy is priced 9.99 and the covers are priced 7.99 each. Onelife also makes biodegradable, flushable nappy liners, priced Pounds 2.50 per 100-wipe roll, and cotton wipes, priced 3.99. All Onelife products are organic and the packaging is made of 100 per cent recycled materials, using water-based inks and printed on chlorine-free paper using a 'waterless offset process'. Onelife also offers a helpline run by parents who use these products.
