National Childminding Association seminar

The National Childminding Association is holding a major seminar in London on 26 September to preview its new quality assurance scheme for individual childminders. Quality First will provide registered childminders with a scheme recognised in England and Wales and will meet the criteria of Investors in Children. The NCMA says it will be an ideal solution for early years development and childcare partnerships considering how to reach the target they have been set by the Government of getting 40 per cent of childcare providers accredited by April 2004. Speakers at the event will include Baroness Catherine Ashton, minister for Sure Start, early years and childcare. The cost is 115 for NCMA members and 125 for non-members. To register contact Jeannette Elliott at the NCMA on 020 8290 8976.
