National Playday in the city's Hyde Park

(Photograph) - Mayor of London Ken Livingstone joined children celebrating last month's national Playday in the city's Hyde Park. Activities included BMX-ing, a climbing wall, yoga and storytelling. This year's theme was 'Fit for play?' The Children's Play Council and the Children's Society found that 40 per cent of children aged seven to 14 wanted to spend more time playing outdoors but struggle to find suitable places to play.
