The National Childminding Association is launching an election manifesto at the House of Commons on Thursday (18 March).

In 'Childcare Choices for Children and Families', the NCMA will set out its four highest priorities for the next Government.

Catherine Farrell, joint chief executive of NCMA, said, 'NCMA's election manifesto calls on the next Government to ensure that all families have access to a wide range of childcare choices, including home-based childcare. The launch event will provide MPs from the three main political parties with an opportunity to set out how they will support registered childminders and nannies in the next parliament and a chance to meet with childminders and children to hear about their experiences of home-based care.'

Speakers in the debate will include Baroness Delyth Morgan, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Children, Young People and Families; Maria Miller MP, shadow minister for the family; and Baroness Walmsley, Liberal Democrat spokesperson for children, schools and families.
