New cash for child health

* Projects across Wales have received funding from the Welsh Assembly to promote healthy living. Six projects in Cardiff, Caerphilly, Conwy, Pembrokeshire, Swansea and Torfaean are each receiving up to Pounds 75,000 over the next three years under the Food and Fitness grants scheme, while 18 smaller initiatives are to receive up to 5,000 each. The projects include a family-based programme of physical activity, dietary education and behaviour modification in Caerphilly, a 'green gym' for the young and old in Swansea and a scheme in Torfaean to encourage people on low incomes to grow and eat healthy food.
