New guide on childcare for the disabled

The Daycare Trust has published a guide to help parents of disabled children choose and pay for childcare, to coincide with the roll-out of the DCSF's Disabled Access to Childcare (DCATCH) programme.

Under the scheme, local authorities are to receive £12.5m in funding to provide services offering parents of disabled children advice and support when choosing childcare. The roll-out follows on from ten pilots across the country, including at Luton Borough Council, with which the Daycare Trust worked closely for the whole pilot. Copies of the Guide to childcare for disabled children can be ordered by mailing info@daycaretrust.org.uk.
