This is an updated version of a comprehensive guide to the theory and practice of modern playwork, which will be valuable to playworkers and playwork students. There is coverage of all playwork course content at levels 2 and 3. Tables provide direct links to the NVQs at these levels.

There are also links to level 4, which is partially covered by the text.

Part one of the book sets out the framework and context of playwork (including coverage of the principles and values), and outlines some theoretical perspectives that underpin playwork. Part two focuses on the core practical work of playworkers. Case studies effectively demonstrate how theory may be applied in practice.
