- A five-year-old boy has demanded to have his 18 inch-long locks trimmed, said the Daily Mail. Rean Carter supposedly didn't mind his long hair until he started school and he was told to tie his hair up for health and safety reasons, whereupon other boys teased him for looking like a girl. Rean's cut hair will be donated to a cancer charity for use in wigs.

- British children aged ten and under are spending 353 hours a yearplaying with gadgets at home, according to a new study reported in theDaily Telegraph. A survey of 2,000 parents by toy company Leapfrog foundthat almost two-thirds of children now own a camera, or a gaming ormobile device.
