No more envelopes

As an overworked and underpaid pre-school supervisor, I dread those brown and white envelopes dropping through the letterbox to tell me I have more work to do. I've been through Ofsted many times and have just been advised by my local authority that we now need to work towards accreditation - it has also just introduced a 'record of achievement' to start as soon as possible that we do not have to do, but are expected to.

I don't know how much longer I can carry on spending evening after evening working at home in my own free time. Like Audrey Bowers (see above), I feel that I too will be a former manager soon and will have to find a job outside childcare. This saddens me as I've worked in this sector for more than 20 years and have loved it, but I simply cannot cope with any more paperwork.
