Outstanding minder
Sunderland childminder Denise Holyoak is celebrating after receiving anoutstanding Ofsted grade for the second time. Denise, who runs MuckyPups Childminding Service, said she was 'absolutely thrilled'. KathleenHodgson, Childminding Co-ordinator at Sunderland City Council, said, 'Itis wonderful that Denise's dedication and hard work has been rewarded.The level of care provided by childminders across the city iscontinually rising, so parents can trust that their children are inexcellent hands.'
Striking performance
Four-year-old Georgina Swaby shows off Silks Farm Nursery School's awardfor its pre-school football programme. The nursery school in Huntingdon,Cambridgeshire, is the first in England to achieve the Charter StandardSchools Award, for its Silks Strikers football programme for three- andfour-year-old boys and girls. The children enjoy weekly footballsessions with qualified FA coaches, learning how to run with the ball,dribble, pass and shoot. Presenting the award at Peterborough Unitedfootball ground, Alain Poulain from Huntingdonshire FA said, 'Silks Farmare passionate about delivering football sessions to young children in afun way.'
