Trafford Early Years has given Elmscot Day Nursery in Timperley,Cheshire, an Inclusion Stamp, an award designed to show parents whichsettings are employing good practice in including all children. Toreceive the stamp childcare settings must demonstrate a commitment toinclusion, including clear policies and procedures showing how it isachieved.
Places for disability
A charity-funded centre for children with disabilities in Mawdesley,Lancashire, has places available for under-fives. The Legacy RainbowHouse has an extensive outdoor play area, a selection of play shops andcafes, an outdoor classroom, orchard, small animal farm, ponies andnature trails. The Legacy accepts children with or without disabilitieson a full-time or sessional basis. Appointments for viewing can be madewith Hayley Scholes on 01704 823276.
