- Thinking Pink

Many nurseries across the country took part in fundraising for the 'InThe Pink' campaign for October's breast cancer awareness month.

Children at Scallywags Nursery in Westwick, Cambridge raised more than150 from their pink day which included a pink tea party, asponsored leaf collection and the opportunity for children to decoratebiscuits.

Rainbow Nursery in Lyne, Surrey, held a week of events with a pinkface-painting day, a pink baking day and 'wear as much pink as possible'day, raising nearly 300.

Even the caretaker at Midland Road Nursery in Bradford, West Yorkshire(bottom photo) dared to wear pink, as he joined children and staff toraise 120 for breast cancer support. The nursery also markedNational Bookstart Day on 10 October by dressing up as pirates andjoining in themed activities.
