Fun and games

Everyone at Smart Tots Nursery in Banbury, Oxfordshire, had a great timeat the nursery's Family Fun Day on 5 July. After tackling a mini-sportsevent and parachute games, children and parents enjoyed a teddy bears'picnic.

40 years on

The Pre-School Learning Alliance's Greenwich Sub-Committee celebrated 40years of providing childcare for the families of Greenwich with a teddybears' picnic last month. Greenwich Mayor Allan McCarthy attended theevent along with 250 children, the local fire brigade and police.

family Breakfast

Parents and carers were encouraged to stay and have breakfast with theirchildren at Portico Day Nursery at Moss Bank Children's Centre in StHelens to promote the most important meal of the day. Children and theirfamilies enjoyed making their own fruit juice, smoothies and fruitkebabs. The idea for the three-day event came from the Government'sChange4Life campaign, which promotes healthy lifestyles.
