GRADUATION DAYS

Early years settings across the country have been saying goodbye tochildren as they leave to move up to school. Busy Bees in King HarryLane, St Albans, Highams Park Children's Day Nursery in Waltham Forest,London, Treetops Nursery, Ashbourne, Derbyshire (pictured top) andKidorable Childminding Services in Braintree, Essex (above) heldgraduation ceremonies for the children, who dressed in gowns and mortarboards to receive their special commemorative certificates. LittleRascals Day Nursery in Aldridge, West Midlands, held a book day andparty to mark the children's departure.

DINGLE DANGLE DIY

Children from Busy Bees Day Nursery in Colton Mill, West Yorkshire, wereinvited to make their own scarecrows at home for a special nurserycompetition. Nursery manager Julie Clark said, 'The children lovedmaking the scarecrows and it encouraged them to use their imaginationsand be creative, as well as involving parents in their child's learningand play at nursery.' The winner of the competition was awarded 20 worth of Early Learning Centre vouchers.
