TALL AS A SUNFLOWER

Children at Nursery on the Green in Frimley, Surrey, have been learning all about sunflowers, from their start as a seed to growing to huge flowers. To extend the children's learning, nursery staff created a height chart to measure the tallest sunflower.

PARTY LIKE IT'S 1961

Greyfriars Pre-School in Ringwood, Hampshire, celebrated its 50th anniversary in style with a hog roast and BBQ. Around 400 people attended the event, including the original owner, Iris Godwin, who launched the pre-school in 1961, and the first child to attend the setting. A special bench to mark the milestone was also unveiled at the party.
