NSPCC refutes job cuts

The NSPCC has refuted reports that it is to put hundreds of jobs at risk by closing dozens of local centres supporting vulnerable children to save money as part of a restructuring strategy. NSPCC chief executive Andrew Flanagan said, 'Our strategy is one for growth, not cutting back.

Plans to 2016 include expanding training and consultancy services, increasing the number of practitioners providing direct services to children and replacing the Children's Recording Information System.' But the charity confirmed it would be moving many of its existing project locations to allow for new services to be introduced from new, larger service centres.
