Nurseries, creches, playgroups and primary schools

Nurseries, creches, playgroups and primary schools are being urged to organise wacky activities next month to raise funds for the Tommy's campaign. On Baby Day, Friday 2 November, early years settings are being asked to go 'Dotty for Tommy's' by wearing dotty clothes and painted faces. Jane Brewin, chief executive of Tommy's, said, 'Last year we were delighted with the number of people who took up the idea of having fun and doing something completely dotty. We managed to raise an incredible Pounds 75,000.' All the money raised will go towards the research into premature birth, miscarriage and stillbirth that Tommy's funds. For more details about the day, contact Tommy's Head Office, 1 Kennington Road, London SE1 7RR (020 7620 0188).
