Members of Early Arts North Tyneside, who include childminders and children's centre workers, will encourage nurseries to get involved in local arts projects.
One of the first events will be the premiere of an under-sevens show at the Buddle Arts centre this month. 'A Handful of Sandpit' will transform traditional sandpit games into a desert adventure of riddles and mirages.
Councillor Norma Redfearn, cabinet member for children, young people and learning, said, 'The group will enable us to ex- tend the benefits of our strategic approach to arts and early years to every child in the borough.'
