The NDNA, which is offering up to three days of free consultancy, said that instilling a more business-like approach could make the difference between a nursery becoming sustainable in the long term or going out of business.
Patricia Jackson, head of regional development at the NDNA, who is managing the consultancy, said, 'The consultancy is very much aimed at childcare organisations running as a business and becoming sustainable.'
She said that many providers were not used to thinking in business terms, and that providers were under increased pressure because of 'the rapidly changing environment' created by a spate of Government initiatives.
