Nurseries urged to send DfES views

The National Day Nurseries Association is urging nurseries to respond to the Government's early years funding consultation. The NDNA warned that providers could miss out on the opportunity to make their feelings known about proposals to change the way funding for the early years entitlement for three-and - four-year-olds is allocated.

The NDNA warned that providers could miss out on the opportunity to make their feelings known about proposals to change the way funding for the early years entitlement for three-and - four-year-olds is allocated.

Chief executive Purnima Tanuku said, 'This consultation is what NDNA and the sector has been waiting for and is a real chance for input about what is needed to address the significant issues private and voluntary nurseries are facing in the delivery of the free entitlement.'

Ms Tanuku said that feedback from NDNA members indicated that some of them found responding was challenging due to the size of the consultation.
