Nursery owner in child porn case

A nursery owner has appeared in court charged with child pornography offences. Brian Griffiths, who runs Burton Latimer Day Nursery, two nurseries in Kettering, Northamptonshire, appeared before magistrates on 13 April on 13 charges of making or possessing child pornography.

Mr Griffiths, a married father of two, was arrested on 7 April following raids on three premises in his home town of Burton Latimer. He is now on conditional bail and will reappear at the same court in Kettering on 27 April.

His wife, Joan Griffiths, who co-owns the day nursery, told Nursery World that a letter had been sent out to all the parents outlining the situation.

She said, 'We feel it's important to keep parents up to date.
