One in seven 15-year-olds and one in every 12 six-year-olds in the UK is now defined as obese. If current trends continue, 20 per cent of boys and 33 per cent of girls will be obese by 2020. An unprecedented number of toddlers are among those getting bigger in the UK and fewer are failing to lose their pre-school chubbiness.

This series, filmed over the course of this year, is exploring the real lives behind these alarming statistics. The filmmakers want to tell the stories of a number of families.
