One-day strike over London weighting allowances

Zarah Ibrahim, an under-fives support worker at Fortune Park Early Years Centre in Islington, London, and her charge, 15-month-old Ted Dixon, took part in a rally outside TUC headquarters in central London last week when Unison London called a one-day strike over London weighting allowances. Union members staged the action as part of their campaign for a flat rate of 4,000 to be paid to all local government workers across the capital.
