'Moving on - the senior practitioner's role in influencing practice in the EYFS' (12 October) is led by Marion Dowling. In 'Supporting young bilingual children' (13 October), Dr Rose Drury draws on a study on how four-year-olds learn at home and nursery. In 'The role of the adult in early learning: interacting or interfering?' (21 October), Julie Fisher explores what constitutes an 'effective interaction' with young children as learners.

An introduction to the theory and practice of the key persons approach in the EYFS is presented by Dorothy Y Selleck and aimed at all level practitioners.
