Children at the Happy Times Nursery in Battersea, South London, can take a journey through space with the help of their new Altro Walkway safety flooring. Stars and planets have been cut into the floor as a sensory stimulation for the children to crawl around and the design also features astronauts and rockets. The floor ties in with murals on the wall to create a great play area with plenty of images to capture the children's imagination. There is also a starry theme to the outdoor safety surface designed for the nursery children at Hanwood Primary School in Shrewsbury (above). When 80 square metres of black wet pouring surfacing were installed by RTC Safety Surfaces it was enlivened with colourful shooting stars as well as splashes and footsteps.
