Parenting Fund

The DfES is seeking views on how best to use the Pounds 25m allocated to the new Parenting Fund that was announced as part of the 2002 Spending Review. The Parenting Fund: Proposals for consultation, published last week, explains that the Fund, which is for England only, will go directly to the voluntary and community sector to support parenting organisations. It will seek to target areas with high unmet needs. Proposal responses are requested by 3 November. The proposals are on the DfES website at www.dfes.
