Parents are the target of a new Government obesity education drive. The Healthy Living Initiative and the Top Tips for Top Mums campaign, launched last Thursday by public health minister Caroline Flint, aim to tackle the areas where families with young children most need support to prevent unhealthy weight gain. Some of the advice for parents to interest their children includes inventing stories about food, calling parsnips chips and spaghetti bolognaise worms, and hiding vegetables in pasta sauces.
