'Me And My Ideal Childcare' Was The Theme For This Year'S Nursery World/Daycare Trust Children'S Art Competition To Celebrate National Childcare Week (5-11 June).

Children Were Asked To Draw Or Paint Their Ideal Childcare Environment And Come Up With A Caption To Describe It.

Many Entries Depicted Outdoor Scenes, Proving Once Again Just How Important This Area Of Provision Is To The Children It Serves. Bicycles, Slides, Flowers, Animals And Even Chocolate Rivers All Made Their Appearance. Role Play Scenes, Including Peter Pan And Narnia, Also Featured.

The Winners Were Chosen By Nursery World Editor Liz Roberts, Marketing Executive Stacy Murray And Peter Morgan, Campaign, Media And Public Relations Officer For The Daycare Trust. Prizes Were Given Out By Children'S Minister Beverley Hughes At A Special Ceremony At Tate Britain In London.
