Click It!, a London-based firm which has been providing mobile information technology learning to nursery schools since 1999, received the award at a ceremony at the Institute of Directors in London last week. Founder Wendy Petersen said, 'We believe ICT should be part of a child's everyday learning, given the need for computer skills in a world where technology continues to evolve at such a fast pace. The benefit of our approach is that we take all the equipment with us, but the children are able to learn in their own familiar nursery school environment.'
Click IT! works with more than 20 nursery schools in London, reaching over 300 children. It employs a team of eight mobile tutors, all of whom are working mothers.
