This three-part project covers all six areas of learning, and communication, language and literacy supports all the activities. The areas of learning are indicated by:

The activities are cross-curricular, providing scope for practitioners to focus on various early learning goals. However, to aid planning, delivery and evaluation of the project, each activity gives only one 'planned learning intention' and lists 'stepping stones' to demonstrate how children may progress towards that goal.
