Looking ahead to autumn you might be interested in the new Rad Pad. This was designed by parents to cover hot radiators and protect children from sharp corners and edges into the bargain. The Rad Pad is made from thick quilted fabric with a fire-retardant filling and can be adjusted to fit any size of radiator. The pad is also machine washable and the makers claim that it 'reduces heat output no more than Iwooden radiator covers'. Available in two designs, the lower case letter pattern, shown in the picture, and an unbleached plain calico version which can be dyed or decorated according to taste, using fabric paints.
