Rescue me

In the last issue of NE we mentioned the video 'Ready 2 Learn on the Building Site: diggers and dumpers'. Now Granada has extended its pre-school learning range with another glamorous title - 'Ready 2 Learn at the Fire Station: fire engines'. Both videos were conceived with reference to the Government's Curriculum Guidance for the Foundation Stage and this one shows fire-fighters in action and aims to teach children a mix of basic skills, including observation, how to count and how things move. A selection of songs, produced by Ken Bolam who is responsible for 'Miami 7' and 'S Club 7', are included with a free songsheet to help you to get to grips with such catchy numbers as '10 Helmets'; '999'; 'Off on a Shout', 'Working at the Fire Station' and 'Rescue Me'. The video is 33 minutes in length, price 7.99. Telephone 020 7396 6000
