* Save the Children - Centre for Young Children's Rights (020 7700 8127), information centre for early years workers on all aspects of children's rights and anti-discriminatory practice.

* Early Years Trainers Anti-Racist Network (EYTARN) (0151 639 1778) highlights issues in providing anti-racist training for people working with young children.

* The Working Group Against Racism in Children's Resources (020 7627 4594) has compiled a recommended list of books for children, 'Guidelines and Selected Titles: 100 Picture Books' available from WGARCR, 460 Wandsworth Road, London SW8 3LX. It also produces two posters titled 'All children should be seen' and 'Anti-racist childcare is good childcare'.

* Action for Leisure (formerly PLANET) (01926 650195) distributes Liberty, Equality, Disability - Images of a Movement, seven posters celebrating the disability movement and challenging the oppressive representation of disabled people.

* AIMER, the University of Reading (0118 931 8820) publishes resource lists on multicultural, anti-racist teaching materials. Many of the materials are produced by LEAs and are not available elsewhere.

* The Bangladesh Resource and Multicultural Book Centre (020 8548 1405) offers dual-language children's books, books about Bangladesh, puppets, dolls and cards.

* Bookspread & Children's Discovery Centre (020 8767 6377/4551) supplies fiction and non-fiction, dual-language, multicultural, and non-sexist children's books. Also runs literacy and storytelling activities.

* Centre for Multicultural Education (0116 231 3399) supplies posters and classroom resources.

* ClearVision (020 8789 9575) lends books for pre-school visually impaired children, tactile books and well-known children's books with Braille text added. Book loans are free for families, 40 per year for institutions.

* Community Insight (01793 512612) stocks books for people working with children on equal opportunities, childcare and education and children with special needs and more. Also has multicultural, dual-language books.

* Eastside Books (020 7247 0216) specialises in multicultural books, dual-language books, black writers, etc.

* EYTARN (0151 639 6136) has posters featuring culturally diverse children in a nursery and an accompanying leaflet on relating the pictures to the early learning goals.

* The Festival Shop (0121 444 0444) supplies the Festival Year Multi-faith Spiral Year Planner, books, posters, and cards about festivals and religions, but no religious artefacts.
