The company has been through a lot of change, which almost inevitably brings with it uncertainty. It's been a real challenge bringing together three different organisations, but we have made significant progress.
'We have exciting plans in place that will focus on the development of the Leapfrog brand. Over the next 12 months we will be making significant investment in refurbishing and re-branding our nurseries.
'The comments received by Nursery World suggest that some of our people feel we are not meeting the high standards we set ourselves. We are very concerned about this and we will be investigating their claims thoroughly.
We are working hard to minimise disruption for our people, whose skills, expertise and dedication we value highly, and we are strengthening our communications programme so that everyone knows what is happening with the business as we move forward together.
'Our people are the cornerstone of our business and despite shortages in the sector, we are committed to recruiting and retaining the best childcare professionals and to making sure they have the support they need. We are very sad that we will be saying goodbye to Tracey in a few months' time - she has worked incredibly hard and we are all going to miss her, but she has genuinely decided that she wants to spend more time with her daughter.
We have brought in new management to the Nurseries Division and we will be making further key appointments in the near future.
