So I was very glad to talk to Amanda Howse, a qualified and very experienced nanny, who has managed to combine her live-in childcare positions with her love of horses.

Mandy had her first riding lesson when she was 15, still at school and hoping to get a college place to qualify as a childcarer. In 1990 she gained her NNEB - and she had also become a very enthusiastic rider.
