We are calling our brand new, one day live event the NW Big Day Out because it is big in scale and big in ambition. With so much going on across six exciting live stages, the day will provide a fantastic opportunity for early years educators to re-energise their practice, meet new people and take away a bucket-full of bright ideas.
It’s wholly fitting that we are launching this in Nursery World’s 100 birthday year – and Big Day Out is an important part of our celebrations.
With six live stages and 100 speakers this promises to be a day of action, collaboration and celebration. Attending this event will be a fantastic opportunity to invest in your CPD and feel part of a vibrant community of early years educators.
A key focus will be on inspiring practice with different age groups and on addressing the pressing issues currently facing the early years sector at large. Through a mix of practical presentations, panel debates and exciting hands-on workshops, we hope that delegates will gain ideas, insights and information to motivate them in their work.
Across the six live stages our speakers will cover ‘inspiring practice’, linked to the EYFS and much more, SEND, careers and training and a timely look to the future, which will feature ‘new voices’ as well as familiar experts.
Details of speakers and their sessions will follow in the weeks to come. But we would just like to flag at this point that we are delighted to welcome Neil Griffiths, creator of Storysacks (pictured below), for a lively session on ‘How to Bring Storytime to Life’.
