Scottish Council for Research in Education merger

A major centre for education research is to be developed with the merger of the Scottish Council for Research in Education and the Faculty of Education at the University of Glasgow. Professor Chris Morris, vice-principal of Glasgow university, said, 'The purpose of the merger is to provide the education faculty of the university with a strong, viable, experienced research unit that already has an international reputation.'
