I’ve always worked in catering – it’s what I knew. I also love children, so once mine had grown up I wanted to work somewhere surrounded by the energy that children bring while sharing my skills. I was at Belper Alton Manor when it first opened its doors, so I’ve been here since day one – I’m practically part of the furniture.

I think Christmas is one of the most special times at our nursery. Watching children getting excited in the run-up to the big day, as well as planning all the catering and baking for parties and Christmas dinners, really helps get into the festive spirit.
