I really enjoyed volunteering at the nursery and I learned so much, particularly in regard to the direction I want my career to go. A child with autism formed a strong relationship with me. I was instantly passionate about how I as a practitioner and we as a setting could support children with SEND. I was committed to adapting routines, environments and resources to ensure our nursery is completely inclusive and the same opportunities are given to all children. And the team is family. I had such a warm welcome and there is such a supportive atmosphere, I knew I wanted my career to start here.
