Careers & Training
Position: Manager of the Old Station Nursery in Filkins, Oxfordshire

- How did you feel about winning Business Person of the Year at the Fairford and Lechlade Business Club Awards?

I didn't believe it at first when they called my name out at the gala dinner. They announced the finalists before and I wasn't included so I thought that was it. I put so much into the nursery and treat it like my own, that it was nice for my efforts to be recognised. The nursery was also a runner-up in the Business of the Year category.

- What did you win?

I won a certificate, which has been placed on the wall at the nursery. Winning the award has also generated a lot of publicity for the nursery, although I still don't feel like it has sunk in yet.
