How did you feel about winning the Alliance Learning Children's Care, Learning and Development award?
I was shocked at first but really proud to have won the award. My tutor nominated me for the award for my hard work and dedication to my apprenticeship. I'm really lucky as the staff at the nursery, parents, friends and family have been really supportive.
What is your role at the nursery?
I am a nursery nurse and look after children aged one to two-and-a half. I love my job and have always wanted to work with children, so the apprenticeship is ideal.
What are your future plans?
At the moment I am doing my Level 3, which I am due to complete in June. I'm considering taking a short break from studying but hope to do my Level 4 in the near future.
