- How did you feel about winning two Eco Awards, organised jointly bythe city council and Norwich Evening News

We were delighted. We received a certificate for the schools categoryand a trophy for the community category, where we were gradedoutstanding.

- What made your application stand out against others?

One of the judges told us that the panel were tickled by our decision touse nettle soup for the first taste-testing session.

- What eco-friendly activities do you hold at the centre?

In the summer we invite parents to a lunchtime picnic in the nursery'sgarden, and in the winter we use vegetables from the garden to makesoups, which we invite parents and children in the community to tasteand make at home. The nursery children make lavender bags, raspberry jamand blackcurrant juice using resources grown in the garden and we alsohave compost bins, a wormery, a wildlife area and a birdwatching tent atthe centre.
