- How did it feel to win the BBC National New Hymn Competition 2007?
I was really surprised and it was a real affirmation that I should keepdoing it. I have reached the finals of two other competitions but thisis the first time I have won. I have written more than 20 songs, andwould like to get some published.
- What did the children say when they heard you had won?
The children were very excited, and some of them told me they had seenmy photograph in the local newspaper and had cut it out and stuck it tothe fridge.
- What was the prize?
I won a trophy, and a trip to the Houses of Parliament, with a tour anda presentation from the BBC and the Rt Hon Jon Battle MP. It was aspecial day and will be a lifetime memory.
