Storal Learning, which is owned by Varun Chanrai and Ashwin Grover, has bought Midlands-based Swingboat Nurseries, which operates three nurseries and two out-of-school clubs in Leicestershire and Derbyshire.
The deal, funded by HSBC bank, sees Storal Learning increase its number of nurseries to 14, offering more than 1,000 childcare places.
Earlier this year the group acquired Rocking Horse Day Nursery in Greater Manchester in June and Playmates Nurseries, two settings in Cheshire, in March.
Storal Learning’s other nurseries are in Basingstoke, Dorset, Kent, Bristol, Somerset and Weston-Super-Mare.
The nursery group's directors said, 'We are thrilled to have acquired such a high-quality group of nurseries as we expand Storal Learning’s national footprint into the East Midlands.
'We are committed to building upon the legacy of high-quality care and early years education that is at the core of Swingboat’s ethos.'
Chris Chambers, area director for HSBC UK’s Corporate Banking for East London, added, ‘Storal Learning has a portfolio of nurseries spanning across the South East, South West, Northwest and now the East Midlands - bridging the gap between North and South.
‘With its highly experienced workforce and plenty of room for more with this recent acquisition - we are certain that Storal Learning will continue to provide high-quality early learning services across the country’.
