Nursery group adds seventh setting

Business Management
Storal Learning, which has nurseries in Hampshire, Kent, Dorset and Cheshire,
has acquired the Rocking Horse Day Nursery in Greater Manchester.

The 106-place nursery is over four floors and has a rear stable building, connecting conservatory and large outdoor area. Former owners James McGarr, Jenny Rossington and Beverley Rossington had been operating the setting for the past 27 years.

With the new nursery, Storal Learning, owned by Ashwin Grover and Varun Chanrai, operates seven settings, providing more than 460 childcare places.

This is the second nursery acquisition by Storal Leaning this year. In March, the group bought Playmates Nurseries, two settings in Widnes, Cheshire.

Mr McGarr said, ‘From Jenny, Bev and I, a huge thank you to the staff, children and parents who have been connected to Rocking Horse Nursery. We have cared for over 2,000 children, helping them on their early steps in life and it has been an incredible journey for all involved. We are confident that handing over the reins to Ashwin and Varun, two very dedicated gentlemen, will be a very positive move for Rocking Horse. I would like to thank Christie & Co, especially Sofia Beck for her help, guidance and professional approach throughout the selling process."
