Holding a hand-bound book constructed from handmade paper is a lovely feeling. The illustrations are dramatically silk-screen printed in two appropriate colours, orange and black. And the images are complemented by a careful placing of the text on the page. Where the tiger is exploring, the minimal words wave boldly up and down, mirroring the idea of movement. The tiger that begins the book on the shore travels across the water to a different land where it is captured by men, having climbed all the way up a tall tree to escape them. It is a lovely story based on the theme of respect for life, that culminates in the tiger jumping back to the shoreline where we first saw it.
