(Photograph) - Children at the Sure Starters nursery in Telford, Shropshire, swapped day for night when professional storyteller Amy Douglas dropped in to read them bedtime stories in National Storytelling Week. Children dressed in their pyjamas and brought in sleeping bags, torches, teddies and their favourite storybooks, and enjoyed midnight feasts of milkshakes, fruit and marshmallows. Senior nursery officer Sturcha Mansfield said, 'The staff team, parents and children had a fabulous day. It also helped to develop links between the nursery and home. We have our own nursery library, and encourage parents to join the local public library.' The nursery is a Sure Start project based at the Carpenter Family Centre. Photo Jamie Jones 24/7 Media
