Pre-school children from the International School of London (ISL), an independent primary school in Woking, Surrey, regularly visit a local Friends of the Elderly care home.

The community partnership project started last year, and different year groups visit regularly to entertain and learn from the residents.

The children share their favourite stories with residents, enjoy reading to them, and play games, including the card game Ladybird.

Ewelina Wagner, the activities co-ordinator at the care home, said, ‘Our residents always look forward to visits from ISL Surrey children. It is wonderful to see how their faces light up when they see the younger generation. The level of engagement between them is incredible and we are really grateful to have this collaboration with the school.’
