The Big Picture - Walk in a winter wonderland

Provision
Staff and children at Little Acorns in Gomersal, West Yorkshire made the most of the snowy weather and went on a winter nature walk.

Nursery manager Emma Moxton said, 'The children watched the snow and were mesmerised as it fell, while trying to catch the flakes.'

On their return to the setting, the children enjoyed hot chocolate as they listened to staff read Michael Rosen's We're Going on a Bear Hunt.

Little Acorns wasn't the only nursery to enjoy the wintery weather. Nursery World was inundated with snowy pictures from early years settings across the country.
